If you know me, you know I love a challenge. Well, I am pushing myself to the edge again… straight over the edge of a 29 story building.

On October 20th, I am going over the edge of Two Commerce Square to fundraise for the Philadelphia Outward Bound School. I am sure that you know Mark and I are passionate supporters of the Philadelphia Outward Bound School (POBS) located in Fairmont Park. Building Adventure 2017 is a unique challenge event to help raise funds for POBS.

Celebrating their 25th year, Outward Bound Philadelphia was established in 1992 by local community leaders seeking to inspire disadvantaged area youth through challenge and adventure — to show them that they have more inside themselves than they ever thought possible. Its mission is to increase self-awareness, self-confidence, communication, leadership, and problem solving skills of low-income students in Philadelphia — to give them the ability to complete high school, college, and enter the workforce, and to help them realize and fulfill their utmost potential. Today over 5,000 Philadelphia youth annually participate in their life-changing programs, and since their founding they have served more than 30,000 individuals from public, independent and charter schools, youth-serving organizations, businesses, civic organizations and other local institutions. Outward Bound courses inspire young leaders through educational programs in wilderness and natural settings. The immediate experience is exhilarating but these young individuals, through the great work of the tremendously talented POBS staff, also find themselves better prepared to make very important decisions later in life.

I believe in Outward Bound’s ability to change lives through challenge and discovery, and want to challenge myself to take that leap of faith off a highrise building and to raise $3500 to help provide scholarships and subsidies for Philadelphia's public and charter schools, underserved students, veterans and grieving teens.

Any size donation helps, and giving is easy. Here's a chance for you to do something kind for a complete stranger -- not me, but that student, veteran or grieving teen.

Many thanks for your support -- and please don't forget to forward this to anyone who may wish to benefit this great cause!
